Countdown to May 1!

This winter has been cause for a fair amount of complaining and grumbling about New England winters in general. But after a too long and too snowy winter, I finally see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel! May 1st (one of my favorite days of the year) is nearly upon us.

For me, May 1 is a magical day when both my convertible and my kayak get dusted off and move out of the garage to see the light of day. This year is no exception. In fact, I’m looking forward to this kayaking season more than ever this year. I’ve got

a slew of new ideas in mind for this blog (stay tuned),
a new road atlas to find those hidden paddle locations,
a brand new Olympus E-510 DSLR camera for some terrific photos,
and plans to retrofit the boat so Sadie, the kayaking wonder dog, will have a more comfortable and enjoyable paddle.

Counting today there’s only 30 days to go and I can’t wait!
